Over the two-day period, sports business executives participate as keynotes, panelists, and take part in roundtable networking lunches, giving attendees a VIP pass into the world of sports.
In 2009, the SINC Conference welcomed over 200 attendees and 100 executives for the event emphasizing education, job placement, and networking. Keynote speakers included Tom Wade, CMO of the PGA Tour, and David Haggerty, President of Head Tennis and a USTA Board Member. Sports Career Conference
Washington, DC…The Sports Industry Networking and Career Conference (SINC) has been announced at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. The George Washington University had hosted the sports career conference SEME over the last five years, and the rebranded conference will continue to feature over 75 top sports industry executives speaking as keynotes and panelists. The 2009 SINC Conference, a two-day experience emphasizing education, job placement and networking, welcomes students, young professionals, and career changers seeking to break into or advance in the sports industry.
“The name of the event is the only thing that will change. The 2009 SINC Conference will continue to provide attendees with unique access to the leading decision makers in the sports industry today,” said Lisa Delpy Neirotti, head of the Sports Management Program at The George Washington University. “When laying out the agenda for this year’s conference, we went one step further to create additional opportunities for attendees to network, whether it is with executives or fellow peers. For those seeking a career in sports, this is an event that should not be missed.”
Over the past five years, Lisa Delpy Neirotti, The George Washington University, and Jeremy Silkowitz, Manager at Swanson Communication, have led the development and growth of SEME. The two principle organizers have rebranded the conference but will continue to emphasis the key elements of networking and job placement, and build upon the years of success.
“The conference provides those in attendance with opportunities to learn, network, and pursue jobs within the sports industry,” said Jeremy Silkowitz, Executive Director, SINC Conference, and Manager at Swanson Communications. “I attended an event just like the SINC Conference when I was a senior in college. I know the type of impact that this type of event can have on an attendee’s future as they pursue a career in this highly competitive field. It’s all about making lasting connections, and this conference gives everyone a chance to do just that.”
